Tom Hart-Dyke

Tom Hart-Dyke, is a plant hunter, botanist and the designer of the World Garden at Lullingstone Castle.

During a plant hunting trip to South America in 2000, he and his friend were captured by guerillas and held captive for 9 months under threat of death. during this time he had the idea of a 'world garden' at Lullingstone Castle, his family home. On his return, he realised the idea and the garden is now open to the public throughout the summer.

Sarah Bourne (Mosaic Mum)

Sarah, known by her children as "Mosaic Mum", is an artist and teacher based in Chevening, near Sevenoaks.

Sarah makes amazing mosaics from discarded vintage pottery and runs workshops from her studio.

Barrie the Barman

Barrie has been the landlord of the Achor in London Road for 45 years and is probably the longest serving sole trader in the town.

The Anchor is a traditional pub in an age when such things are rare, and is the centre for blues, folk and country music in the town.
